SIMPLY AMAZING!
I'm fascinated by this year's American Idol. They are some of the most talented people I think they have ever had on the show.
One young man in particular stands out as a front-runner to me: DAVID ARCHULETA. He has a natural gift. Many think he's new the the scene, but in reality he's been at this awhile. Extremely talented, he even plays a mean piano! A true artist! He's so young to have such depth to his soul. It makes me wonder if there is a dark side lurking somewhere. A painful upbringing...child abuse perhaps?
I sang when I was younger, professionally and in a choir. I've always had a pretty good voice, but after my radiation treatments I'm left with a very raspy and undesirable sound when I sing. Next to not being able to eat, not being able to sing breaks my heart! When I listen to this kids voice, it makes me want to exercise my vocal chords and pray that by some miracle my vocal tones return. He makes me cry, mostly in a good way but selfishly for my loss too.
His rendition of "Imagine" by John Lennon was mesmerizing. He was on Star Search and this was not the first time he's sang Imagine. Yup, you've got the scoop here first folks, maybe even before TMZ! He sang the complete version on a Utah talk show flawlessly at the age of 13. Check out his work:

I love this kid! Such a natural talent. And he seems sweet and humble and polite. I wanna adopt him! I voted for him last week, even when he messed up. Yes, I vote! I programmed the number in my cell phone.

And Brooke. I wasn't until she sang Let It Be...OMG! Yes, I voted for her, too!
I wanted to like Amanda...I am a rocker at heart...but I just can't get into it when she sings. I wanna see her gone!!
Every year, I say I am not going to watch...and then it starts!!
My two favorite past contestants that should have won...Clay and Daughtry...180 degree opposites, but I love them both! Bought their cd's. And I bought Eliott Yamin's, too.
