After a while you learn
the subtle difference between
holding a hand and chaining a soul
and you learn
that love doesn't mean leaning
and company doesn't always mean security.
And you begin to learn
that kisses aren't contracts
and presents aren't promises
and you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes ahead
with grace, not the grief of a child
and you learn to build all your roads on today
because tomorrow's ground is
too uncertain for plans
and futures have a way of falling down
After a while you learn
that even sunshine burns
if you get too much
so you plant your own garden
and decorate your own soul
instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure
you really are strong
you really do have worth
and you learn
and you learn
with every goodbye, you learn...

HI DR SWILL,
I SAW YOU ON THE BLOG TODAY. I'M PEEKING FOR A WHILE. HOPE YOUR FEELING BETTER. DID YOU EVER GET AWAY FOR R&R?
Thank you TG,
Lately R&R comes in for form of naps and doing busy things to keep my mind off the sadness.
I will get there, but there is still so much to do. I am still in your area for another month and I'm hoping to maybe see the beach before I leave.
I read your posts about moving. I hope you get settled in. I know how hard that must be. Email me your new email address and you might be able to retrieve your old address book from the old company if you call and find out how.
A good lesson...always copy your address book before you close an email account. The best way is to send a bulk email to everyone including to your new email address. That way there will be a copy of all the email addresses in that one. There are a few ways to get those back.
I hope you and gramps are well and take it easy. Thanks for the love.
That was so appropo. I loved it.
I know you have lots to do, but I hope you are doing some things just for you. You should try to make it a definite to get to the beach. The breeze off a body of water does a world of good. Or at least fill a glass with ice water and set it in front of a fan ;)~
Hang in there.
I thought it was a perfect poem for the situation.
I have a lot of family matters to wrap up over the summer combined with a lot of travel. I hope I can endure.
My shower voice has returned, so I'm not so lonely in the shower anymore! lol If it wasn't for the minor slurring left from the surgery, I'd have to say I'm not half bad...but it comes and goes.
Peace & Hoppy Easter
HI DR. SWILL, SO ARE YOU ALIVE? WE HAVEN'T SEEN YOU FOR AWHILE. I HOPE YOU GOT SOME REST AFTER DOING ALL YOU'VE HAD TO DO THESE PAST FEW MONTHS. FOR MYSELF, I'VE SLOWED DOWN WAY TO MUCH AND I DON'T LIKE IT A BIT. SOME DRAMA IN THE FAMILY HAS ADDED TO THE WAY I'M FEELING. THIS TOO WILL PAST. YESTERDAY IS HISTORY, TOMORROW IS A MYSTERY AND TODAY IS A PRESENT. TG
In case you pop in here, just want you to know I am thinking about you.
Hope you're doing ok.
IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME DOC. WHERE ARE YOU? ARE YOU OK? JUST SEND US A SHOOTING STAR OR SOMETHING. BRANNY
OK ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. YOUR FANS ARE WORRIED ABOUT YOU. JUST RIGHT THREE WORDS. I'OK. OH THAT'S TWO WORDS. DID YOU LAUGH? GRANNY TAMPA
I'M OK NOT I'K. LOL DID YOU SMILE YET? GRANNY
ONE MORE TIME I'M OK NOT I'OK. BELLY LAUGH OUT LOUD. GRANNY
I'm here I'm alive and lost the use of my computer plus dealing with my mom's estate and her burial.
Thank you for caring.
I STILL PEEK MOST DAYS. I'M SO GLAD YOUR OK. I DON'T GO TO ROSS'S BLOG ANYMORE BECAUSE OF SOME DRAMA THAT TOOK PLACE.I WON'T BE BACK ON IT. I MISS THE FOLK BUT IT'S JUST A BLOG AND I WENT THERE TO HAVE FUN AND LAUGH NOT TO GET CAUGHT UP IN POLITICAL OR RELIGIOUS VIEWS. I KEEP IN CONTACT WITH THE ONES I WANT TO CHAT WITH ON F/B OR E MAIL. TAKE CARE OF YOUR SELF. I'LL CHECK IN ONCE AND A WHILE. GRANNY LOU
STILL PEEKING TO SEE IF YOU POST A THOUGHT OR TWO. FUNNY HOW THINGS CHANGE AS TIME GOES BY.
Just a fly by to let you know that I think of you everyday.
I stop in hoping to see a post from you to no avail...but I won't give up!! I can be stubborn that way.
I hope you are doing well.
ME TOO, I HOPE YOUR WELL AND HAPPY.IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME. MAUREEN AND I MISS YOUR BLOG BUT I CAN UNDERSTAND. MAYBE YOU HAVE STARTED A NEW ONE AND WE HAVEN'T FOUND IT YET.
I just want to make sure you are taking care of yourself. You gave your mother the best possible life. You were a fantastic son.
It is amazing how sorrow and joy war with each other in our lives. If we are lucky we find ways to suck that extra helping of joy out of all our experiences to save up and carry us through our sad times. My older brother lost his battle with cancer on Aug 15. I find it so hard to just make it through the day. I think it is extra hard knowing that my oldest brother and sister are also in bad shape. Just keep taking it one second at a time and keep that wonderful sense of humor.
TAMPAGRANNY HEREI KEEP CLIMBING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN LOOKING FOR YOU AND WONDERING IF YOUR OK. IT'S BEEN MONTHS IT LEAVE ME WONDERING ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.
LORD PROTECT DR. SWILL. THANK YOU JESUS.
Brian...BRIAN!! You were here!!! Come back...PLEASE! Talk to us. How are you? Where are you?
This old bat misses you!!
In case you were noticing your visit numbers increasing by leaps and bounds it's just me coming back a lot to play the games!!!
And to look for you, too!
BOO, IT'S ME.
