Hi my sweet Maureen,

I am fine I guess just a little depressed from the holidays. This is a rough time me. This is the anniversary of my father's death, my mom is in the hospital not well, and I've stayed in bed for a week. My Christmas cards sit unopened on the kitchen table filled with loving thoughts from all over the globe. Hundreds of cards this year filled with good wishes and they just sit. Even in the happiest times there is great sadness. But I am here and I thank you for caring enough to rattle my cage.

Luv ya!

B

Oh Brian, I'm so sorry that you are having such a rough time right now.
I understand about your dad. My mom's birthday would have been 12/22.
Sometimes the holidays bring so much more pain then joy. But, try to focus on YOU, and re-gaining your strength. Remember we have a date to eat Yak burgers together apart!
I will keep your mom in my prayers, as I do you. Maybe open the cards and accept the love that is being sent to you- then you can take some of the strength and send it to your mom.
You are a great son. You're mom is so proud of you. And I bet your dad was a wonderful man. You are afterall a part of him.
I know that I get a feeling of calm when I talk about by parents. And it makes me think of all the best memories. It always ends up turning my tears into raucus laughter. And that feels so good.
I will tell ya something I have told few - I had to make THAT certain decision with my mom and it has been 10 1/2 years and I still wonder if I did the right thing. But, I guess I have to trust that my parents raised me to do the right thing, so I guess I did.
Well, I have blog hogged here again!
I am just so happy to see your comment.
If ya ever want to write off the blog, let me know and I will gladly give you my email addy.
